Repairs - Repair Alert Flag

How the Repair Alert Flag is intended to be used

🚩 How to Flag an Asset with a Repair Alert

When a request involves safety risk, downtime, or critical failure, you can flag it with a Repair Alert Immediately. Notifying the production manager via the Dispatch Asset Alert Flag that the vehicle/equipment is not to be used and a new plan is required.

When to Use a Repair Alert:

  • Brakes or steering issues
  • Trailer lights not working
  • Fluid Leaks, Overheating, Bad Smell etc.
  • Anything that makes the asset unsafe or inoperable

Steps to Flag an Asset:

  1. Open the repair ticket from the Received or In Progress tab
  1. Click the flag icon or choose “Repair Alert” in the action menu
  1. Confirm you want to mark the asset as requiring a flag

Once flagged:

  • The asset will be marked as Out of Service
  • A visual warning will appear on the Dispatch Board
  • Manager is notified to replace the asset and not send it out with the crew
Best Practice: Leave a comment explaining why the flag was set (e.g. “Hydraulic failure — unsafe to operate”)

Removing the Flag:

  • Once the asset is repaired, update the status to Ready
  • The repair alert flag will automatically clear
Tip: Repair Alerts are critical for safety. Use them consistently to keep crews informed and protected.
